With the California legislative session getting underway, politics and policy are once again taking center stage at the State Capitol. How does CALA approach its work during these especially politically divisive and volatile times? We stay focused on what’s critical to our members and the residents they serve.
Today, and every day, CALA works to promote an environment where quality, innovative, person-centered Assisted Living, memory care, and CCRCs can thrive. Ensuring consumer choice and access, provider flexibility, and effective oversight are a few of our primary goals. We work with all political parties and welcome collaboration with other stakeholder groups to find common ground and solutions to challenges we face.
CALA members make a difference by sharing their perspectives and advocating for this popular model of care. Ensuring that attractive, supportive, residential environments are available for all of us as we age is a cause we can all get behind.
