From the first day a resident moves in to a new community, our focus is on impacting their quality of life. The initial assessment—the basis of the service plan—determines the resident’s needs and is the first step to providing quality care. But there are numerous facets of the resident experience that impact quality of life—both tangible and intangible.

Quality is not an act, it is a habit.-AristotleThe Spring 2016 issue of CALA News & Views explores some of those facets. Health-related supportive services; integration of residents and family into the community; well-trained, confident staff; and an enjoyable, nutritious dining experience all contribute to the wellness and well-being of our residents.
