1. What are the most important things we should know about your company?
At Integral Senior Living (ISL), the company culture is lived every day. Dedicated to honoring commitments to seniors, employees, and owners, ISL has attracted senior managers with proven track records. An experienced and talented team, groomed and mentored in the largest senior living companies throughout the United States, has been assembled in the disciplines necessary to support client communities, including operations, resident care, marketing, human resources, and accounting/finance. At ISL, we manage diverse types of communities on behalf of a diverse group of owners—ranging from individuals to REITs. At ISL, we recognize that our success is dependent upon our team’s loyalty and their dedication to their work. With our Culture Keeper program, we strive to show them how important they are to us, our residents, and our clients.
2. Tell us briefly about your company’s history
Integral Senior Living, a privately-owned company founded in 2000, grew rapidly to become a leader in the senior living industry. We specialize in management of senior independent living, Assisted Living, and memory care properties. We consistently demonstrate a successful balance for delivering quality senior living environments, fulfilling workplaces, and targeted financial returns.
3. When and why did your company become involved in CALA?
Our founder and owner, Sue Farrow, was a founding board member of CALA and also the founding Board Chair. In the early 90s, a group of various operators (including Sue Farrow) that were involved with the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) met and decided to form an ALFA affiliate in California: CALA. Collette Valentine currently sits on the CALA board for ISL.
4. What tools or resources do you find most valuable as a CALA member?
The constant communication about new or pending legislation affecting our industry.
5. What is your favorite thing about CALA events?
Spending time with industry peers and getting to see firsthand how the industry is growing and evolving. Always great to see and be around hundreds of people with a passion for seniors!
