Learn About Career Opportunities in Assisted Living: Apply for a CALA Student Scholarship

Students, how would you like to:

  • Explore career possibilities within the Assisted Living profession?
  • Meet face-to-face with representatives from leading companies in your area?
  • Walk away with practical knowledge and information to give you a leg-up in your career pursuits?

Careers in Assisted LivingAt CSU Sacramento’s Gerontology Career Fair last week, we met many students excited to work with California’s seniors and eager to learn more about Assisted Living as a possible career option. Attending CALA’s Spring Conference & Trade Show, June 2-4 in Santa Clara, is a great way to do just that–you’ll meet people who serve seniors every day, you’ll learn about the innovative practices that lead to high-quality care, you’ll get to attend fun networking events with other senior care professionals–and if you apply for a student scholarship, you’ll get to do it all for free!

A student scholarship recipient who attended last year had this to share:

As a result of attending this year’s conference, I am truly convinced I’ve found my calling. During the Meet & Greet, I met with a company representative who’s since offered me an internship at one of the company’s local communities. Needless to say, I am ecstatic and can’t wait to join CALA members on the frontlines to bring innovative and sustainable services to our nation’s seniors.

Another student scholarship recipient said:

After this wonderful experience I am truly convinced I have found my niche. Now I can take all this wonderful knowledge and go out in the field and truly make a difference in the lives of our elderly population.
