Did you start the morning with a cup of coffee or tea? According to a study published in Nature Neuroscience, you may have just given your memory a boost. The study, conducted by Johns Hopkins researchers, is “a victory…for those with a raging coffee addiction,” says an article in Co.Design.

The study’s authors aren’t entirely sure why caffeine might help our brains consolidate our memories, and more research (with larger sample sizes) will definitely be in order to figure that out.
In the meantime, we can enjoy that cup of coffee a little more knowing that our memories will benefit.
