The artwork of California Assisted Living residents will soon grace the walls of the California State Capitol! CALA is excited to host this resident art show sponsored by the Assembly Aging and Long-Term Care Committee.
Held in the beautiful Eureka Room, the art show will run from August 19th through September 13th, which happens to be the beginning of Assisted Living Week.
The show will include 91 pieces from CALA member communities throughout the state, in a variety of mediums, sizes, styles, and subjects.
Some are abstract and thought-provoking. Others evoke a memory or emotion. Still others showcase a skill that is timeless.
Yet, despite the differences, each piece reflects the way in which our state inspires these talented people.
The show will be open to the general public and free to view. If you are unable to travel to Sacramento, please check back at the CALA website for a “virtual” version of the show. Here’s a preview:
Thank you to the resident artists who submitted work to be exhibited; we hope to see you at the State Capitol next month!
