Members and potential members look to the CALA Board of Directors for representation and leadership. To have a better vision of all that these Assisted Living leaders do for their companies and CALA members, we asked them a series of questions. Their answers illuminate their ideas on work, community, and caring for seniors, and show the breadth and variety of companies represented on the CALA Board of Directors. To celebrate these thoughtful, dedicated people working on our members’ behalf, we will feature weekly interviews with each board member, available here and on the CALA Board of Directors webpage.
We are beginning this series of interviews with outgoing board member Steve Delmore, who is retiring this year. Steve was an integral part of CALA’s Board of Directors, which includes his service as Secretary for the past year and a half. CALA president Sally Michael says, “We will miss Steve’s involvement in CALA and his thoughtful contributions to the board and executive committee.” Thank you, Steve, for volunteering your time and dedication to the association!
As executive vice president, Steve Delmore oversaw operations for Merrill Gardens, LLC. Headquartered in Seattle, Merrill Gardens includes 21 communities in California.
